EXCURSIONS
Most group excursions to other cities will be with public transportation.
Train or bus tickets will be bought for the entire group as a group ticket in advance and
seating will be organized at the station. Every effort will be made to acquire reserved seating
on trains and buses. It is, however, the participants' responsibility to meet at the
predetermined location at the station to receive their ticket and reserved seating. Train car
and reserved seat information will be issued in advance. Any person who is late and misses
the train or bus departure is not entitled to a refund and must book and pay their own fare if
they wish to rejoin the tour.
Prices for hotel accommodations on excursions will be based on group rates, therefore we
normally place three to five people per room. Any person or couples who need private rooms
will need to contact the program director before March 15 to reserve a single room. There
will be an additional singles room fee charged (call for price quote and availability).
All participants who do not return to USA with the group on the designated date are
responsible for departure arrangements for hotels and transportation on their own. ARTIS will
make its best effort to book rooms for return departures for all sections of the program based
on quoted prices, however, should hotel rates increase due to whatever reason, the
participants will have to pay the difference from the quoted price.
All excursion fees (train, bus and hotel costs) are based on group rates and current exchange
rates and are established as a service and a means to hold prices down for our participants.
However, in the event of price increases beyond ARTIS's control, the participants will have
to pay the increased price beyond the program fee paid.
Excursion and Museum fees paid are based on the daily itinerary. You may attend whichever
tour activities you wish, however there will be no refunds for missed tour activities or
museums. Anyone who chooses to leave the tour for any reason or to travel independently
of the group must take full responsibility for their decision and for any costs incurred in doing
so.
COLLEGE CREDIT
For students who would like to have college credit, you'll need to check the appropriate boxes
on the ARTIS application form to receive the college credit application form and additional
information. Credit can be given in various classes depending on the participating colleges course offerings.
For course offerings and tuition prices please contact ARTIS Program Director David
Renfrow directly. Accreditation is from various State Universities. There will be different
additional fees for credit depending on the college.
Please be advised that courses will be filled on a first come, first served basis, and may
require prerequisites. Class size is limited. All interested persons should register as soon as
possible to assure their place. If you don't have the forms contact ARTIS for application form

ADDITIONAL NON-CREDIT CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE IN FLORENCE
ARTIS's can host several optional courses at our base studio in Florence. Anyone wishing to
enroll in one of these courses may apply to do so. There is an additional fee for participation
in these classes. Call for prices. Classes available include: Jewelry Making-all levels, Stone
Setting, Silkscreen/Serigraphy Printmaking -all levels, Textile Design, Batik-all levels, Fashion
Design, and Sewing - level 1, Drawing, all levels. All classes will be offered during the afternoons and evenings.
